Allergens & Safety

While it's probably safe, the effects of the supplements in the Klova Sleep ZPatch on a developing fetus is unknown. Given the potential risk, we suggest you speak to your doctor before using any supplement, including ours. The Sleep ZPatch contains Melatonin. Melatonin is currently an over-the-counter drug, with a high availability and apparently without acute adverse effects. Even though there are a few clinical studies on pregnant women that show melatonin as being risk-free, we consider that regarding the extensive and yet not known effects on development, it should not be used by pregnant women before further studies. When giving anything to any patient the benefits should outweigh the risks.  In pregnant females the trouble is that we don't know what effects some of these meds/supplements would do to the fetus.

Melatonin in pregnancy has not been proven to be safe and the current research does not suggest exogenous melatonin use in pregnancy and also caution in breastfeeding women.
